Cherry&Chrome is a conceptual visual identity project designed to transport customers back to the golden age of the American soda parlor. The brand focuses on premium packaging and a cohesive identity system that drips with "cool," aiming to make every sip feel like a cinematic moment from the 1950s.
The Challenges
The Nostalgia Trap: The biggest hurdle was avoiding the "cheap costume" look. Most retro brands end up looking like a dated diner; we had to ensure the brand felt high-end and intentional while still hitting those nostalgic notes.
Visual Balance: We needed to find the sweet spot between the sweetness of "Cherry" and the industrial sleekness of "Chrome"—merging soft, vintage curves with sharp, modern finishes.
Modern Relevance: Since this is a modern-day brand, the challenge was ensuring the retro aesthetic worked across digital platforms without losing its old-school charm.
We leaned heavily into a theme that screams Retro Americana. The visual identity was built to evoke an immediate sense of nostalgia, utilizing a bold color palette and typography that feels like it’s straight out of a neon-lit parlor. From the packaging design to the core branding, we’ve ensured that Cherry&Chrome feels like a heritage brand that somehow managed to stay perfectly on-trend for 2026.
